Hello there, welcome!

Stuart is a Toronto-based professional Photographer, by craft - with a background in film (Australia), TV (ITV Granada Studios, UK) and indie punk rock music videos.

Yet whether he skillfully operates a stills camera or motion film-video capture; those are just tools. In reality, more accurately, he is an Australian walking, creative Swiss army knife problem-solver. A storyteller - so, genuinely curious by nature. Otherwise known as a light shaper. See what these lovely folks had to say.

Side-note - Origin story: Growing up in Sydney, on weekends my dad would take me with him as he went competing in off-road rallying / racing cars, deep in the forests and bush land of Syndey and New South Wales. He had local sponsorship (auto repair garage) and a rally car crew complete with red overalls - which I was a part of. My first ever job on a team (see below). Which, for a kid was cleaning all the windows and mirrors. Soon after I started working part-time at the auto-garage for extra pocket money).

Later, around age eleven and not old enough to race cars - my need for speed was an itch I could no longer ignore.

I looked elsewhere to fill the void and fell in love with the 90’s Chicago Bulls (and the Sydney Kings), and got basketball fever! I joined a local team and ultimately we won a regional championship. I wasn’t very good, however - I did not appreciate the significance of:

1. basketball IQ takes time to accumulate, and

2. being in an adult rally car crew team, and a youth basketball team, (and auto garage), were fantastic training ground(s) in team work.

Alas, collaboration is second nature, and teamwork is in my DNA. It’s intrinsic to my creative process with clients because I’m with you for y/our entire journey.

As an empath, clients know my context is always to actively listen, formulate, execute and deliver striking visual content which makes you look amazing & generates traction.

Cinematic tonality imbued with a clean, minimalist design-minded aesthetic is at the core of my approach to each project.

I take my craft seriously but not myself. If pandemic life taught me anything, it’s that life is already serious enough, and short. My sets always have a light, breezy-fun vibe because when happy souls are relaxed - you give them space + licence to be inspired and productive. This creates an adaptable, professional space where projects are completed on time, and on budget.

I grow with every assignment, by learning and challenging myself. Kaizen.

Photography and filmmaking has opened up worlds and opportunities ordinarily off limits, and it is a privilege to share the human experience using this magical language.

If any of this resonates with you I look forward to hearing about your project!
